Homemade Syrups

Rose Syrup
2 cups water
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup dried rose petals
Put sugar and water in a sauce pan and heat over medium high heat till it comes to a simmer. Continue simmer for 4 minutes stirring regularly. Then pull off heat and stir in rose petals. Let the mixture sit for 4 to 6 minutes. Then strain and let cool.
Namaste (Green Tea Syrup)
2 cups water
2 cups sugar
2 Tablespoons Namaste Tea Blend
Put sugar and water in a sauce pan and heat over medium high heat till it comes to a simmer. Continue simmer for 4 minutes stirring regularly. Then pull off heat and let cool till about the mixture is around 185F or about 2 minutes. Then stir in tea and steep in syrup for 4 minutes. Then strain and let cool.
Jalapeno Basil Syrup
1 Jalapeno
2 1/2 cups water
2 cups sugar
1T dried basil or 1 cup fresh basil pressed
In a sauce pan bring water and sugar up to a boil. Then add basil and jalapeno continue to boil till the jalapeno loses color. Then strain off and cool.
Vanilla Syrup
2 cups water
2 cups sugar
1T of vanilla extract (any extract can be used)
In a sauce pan bring water and sugar up to a boil. Add Vanilla and simmer for a minute. Let cool.
